How this converter works
This tool uses EPA PM2.5 AQI breakpoints and linear interpolation within each bucket. Values above the listed range are capped at AQI 500, the top of the standard AQI scale.
PM2.5 AQI buckets
- Good: AQI 0–50, PM2.5 0–9 µg/m³
- Moderate: AQI 51–100, PM2.5 9.1–35.4 µg/m³
- Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups: AQI 101–150, PM2.5 35.5–55.4 µg/m³
- Unhealthy: AQI 151–200, PM2.5 55.5–125.4 µg/m³
- Very Unhealthy: AQI 201–300, PM2.5 125.5–225.4 µg/m³
- Hazardous: AQI 301–500, PM2.5 225.5–325.4 µg/m³
